2018-2019 TUITION AND FEE SCHEDULE
ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE: A registration fee of $200 per returning student and $250 per new student is due by April 1, 2018. Once we receive your registration fee and all registration forms, Cornerstone Christian School (CCS) will reserve a seat for your child for the 2018-2019 school year. Families accepted into the school after April 1, 2018, will have seven days to pay the registration fee. During that time CCS will continue to hold a seat for your child.
Families who will be applying for financial aid are expected to pay registration fees to reserve a seat for their child. The registration fee will be refunded if a family decides they cannot afford to enroll their child at CCS, based upon the amount of financial aid CCS offers them.
TUITION: Tuition for the 2018-2019 academic year is shown below:
TUITION PAYMENT: The annual tuition is divided into ten equal payments, due by the first of each month, beginning June 1, 2018, and ending March 1, 2019. If the first of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, payment will be due the following weekday. Your check may be postdated for the 1st (bring it to our attention with a “post-it-note”) if you would like to send it in earlier. CCS will not deposit your check before the first of the month. Let the bookkeeper know if paying by the first of the month is a financial hardship for you. Other payment plans can be requested. Please contact the bookkeeper to request a change to your payment plan.
PAYMENT PROCESSING: Please note on the memo line of your check what you are paying for (such as: Tuition, Childcare, etc.). Separate items may be paid with one check. Please note that CCS does not accept cash payments. Cashier’s checks and/or money orders are acceptable.
LATE PAYMENT AND NSF FEES: A late fee of $10 will be charged if we do not receive your payment within 5 days of your due date. Please note: If your account becomes sixty days delinquent, we may suspend your child(ren) until the account is paid. Checks returned from the bank will result in a $15 handling fee plus any fees the bank charges CCS. The school reserves the right to deny enrollment for the following year based upon recurring late payments. CCS reserves the right to send delinquent accounts to a collection agency.
APPEALS: If you will have difficulty making a payment on time, please submit a written appeal to the headmaster prior to your due date, and we will do everything we can to work with you. If we find out after the fact, you may be charged a late fee.
GIFT GIVING: We encourage parents to prayerfully consider giving above their tuition to help the school provide more services to you and those less able. The State of California and the IRS recognize CCS as a 501(c)(3) religious non-profit corporation. Any gifts to the school above your registration, tuition, and fees are tax deductible.
FINANCIAL AID: We have chosen not to offer multi-child or pre-payment discounts because the cost to the school for educating a child is the same regardless of these factors. However, in the spirit of Galatians 6:2-5, we offer financial aid to help families with demonstrated need. To be considered for financial aid, a family must file an application with FAST, an outside company that evaluates each family’s financial situation. FAST takes the number of children into consideration (along with all of the other financial data) to determine a family’s ability to pay tuition. We encourage all families for whom our tuition and fees are unduly burdensome to apply for financial aid through FAST. WITHDRAWAL FROM SCHOOL: When you enroll your child at CCS, we make financial decisions based on your commitment. Should you withdraw your child prior to the end of the school year, the following policies apply in order for our school to remain fiscally responsible:
